The ongoing Hottie Cooterati event with various themes hits the ground running with “Leo” as it’s debute. I’ve been wanting to so a safari series for awhile now and this seemed like the perfect opportunity with this lion from Studio Sidhe that comes with various poses.

Pay attention to the numerous events going around SL. Combine items from these to create a fun fashion theme for everday, pictures, or other events.

The Fairy Tale event is now going on and I picked up a few items while I was visiting. I don’t usually post things like this, but I really enjoyed the new photography set from Tableau Vivant and added a few other items.

The Capitol…

In case you haven’t seen the movies or read the books, The Hunger Games is greatly influencing fashion with its “Capitol Couture.” This look was fun to put together with many items that I already had in my inventory.

The Hunger Games is making its way to SL this weekend as KMADD ushers in the look of Capitol Couture.  Join us this Saturday at 12 p.m. SLT and let the games begin!

STYLE TIPS: If you are looking to make a dramatic statement, it is often best accomplished by incorporating one or two accent pieces.  A bright, colorful accessory can really top off an outfit and help you achieve a look that is completely capitol couture.

Gearing up for this year’s Hunger Games, don’t let the Tributes outshine you!  After all, the Capitol twinkles like a vast field of fireflies…so it’s residents really ought to shine.

STYLE TIPS: Don’t be afraid to make little tweaks to your shape to make clothing or shoes work better!  Just make sure to save a copy of your original shape before you get too slider-happy!

Shaping Up

For this post I thought I would shape things up a little and mix and match a few items to great a more Advant Garde style. With plenty of choices and hair to boot don’t be afraid to venture into women’s items. Nothing is impossible with a bit of imagination.

STYLE TIPS:  Start with finding common traits in the shapes to merge the style, as shown here, bring together the spikes of the hair with the shoulder rods, not forgetting the smaller details like the ribbon from the boots. Straight lines can also be complimented by the curves taken from the lace edges of the pants, mesh mask, mesh arm band and the curvature in the hair.
