Store changes @ KMADD

Due to the sheer number of products and size of our store, it can be overwhelming and certainly confusing for the customers who are arriving at KMADD for the first time.

For many years, we have been battling with this and and tried to make changes in an attempt to address these issue and make KMADD easy to navigate and newcomer-friendly place.

Today, we would like to introduce you to few store changes we made this week, that we hope will make your time @ KMADD a more enjoyable experience.

And here they are:

1) Welcome Area

• Teleports to different departments
• Connect with KMADD & Join our subscribo to receive a free gift!
• Hunts and Events we are currently participating in

2) Free Stuff

• Located directly in front of welcome panel so it is easily accessable
• Features free hair base for our old hair textures + free female style
• More free items are coming

3) Avatars & Hair grouped together

We often get asked by our customers if avatars featured in our hair ads are also available for purchase. As in most cases they are, but they are located in a different department it was difficult for customers to locate them. Well that was in the past.

We have now placed all available avatars directly above our hair displays, saving you a lot of time in having to look for them.

If hair does not have matching avatar it means it is not available – in some cases we’ve made alternative suggestions.

This is how this change looks like…

4) Best Sellers / Must Haves

I can not tell you how many times I have been asked by customers which hair is my best, or I like the most or would recommend.

Well, here they are!

If this is your first time @ KMADD – start here…

On one side are our classic styles and on the other are our hawks…

All hair featured on this wall will be retextured with new colors and avatars will be available for purchase.

5) Hair Base Area

KMADD is famous for hair bases and here you can get new hair texture hair base which comes with BONUS hair and you can demo all our hair bases with one click. Same for female just on the opposite side.

Our new hair base and tattoo collection is right next to it. Some of these releases are only exclusive to events (Body Modification Expo and Men Only Gacha) – so if you get LM when you click to buy you would need to teleport to events location to purchase them. Of course, once events are finished, these items will be available for purchase in our store.

6) New Releases Area

• New Hair and Avatar displays
• Avatars and Hair will be presented together and this is how it would look like.
• New release area is right next to the landing point

7) Eyes Area

Remember this? I made this set for Frolic Mills for BOSL Opera Styling Challenge for this year’s Miss Virtual World Contest.

I liked it so much that I decided to use it to present KMADD eyes within our store.

We have created small display of few eyes from our collection in female hair area with direct link to our eye department.

This way customers can see how eyes would look when worn as well as teleport to view our entire collection.

Introducing a new look for KMADD’s Hair and Avatar vendors.

We have recently introduced new hair textures and we hope that our new hair vendors will help you differentiate hair that is textured with new colors. Therefore, our new hair vendors are now square instead of vertical.

As per your request, we will also be releasing our hair models as avatars. In fact, all our future hair releases will be accompanied with Avatar releases.

You will be pleased to know that all new hair comes with a resize script.

For a very long time, KMADD was against hair with a resize script for the very simple reason that it eliminated the need for new residents to learn the valuable skill of prim adjustment and camera work.

Yet, customers must always win!

And we are happy to leave the education of new players to the loving community of Second Life that has always embraced the newcomers. We all have that one friend we still remember; it is the first friend we met in Second Life. This wonderful event takes place August 23rd-31st, 20131. 24 amazing menswear, womenswear, home, and pose designers have come together by invitation only to create Exclusive Limited Edition Outfits, Furniture, and Poses. Joining them are 8 prominent Skin Designers, 8 Accessory Designers, and 8 Hair Designers creating limited edition exclusive hair, skins, and accessories all for the men and women of Second Life!

Join us for the Men’s opening fashion show on August 23rd, 2011 12-1pm SL and the Women’s opening fashion show on August 24th 6-7pm SL as we display all of the Exclusive Limited Edition Outfits on the Runway. Our home designers are preparing special vignettes to show off all their creative collections. Our pose designers are creating special props and pose sets for everyone for all those special photo moments. We have a load of treats in store including industry parties with all of our Media Partners KMADD, AVENUE, Designing SL, Gay Archipelago, Blithe, The Nest, and many more. Wonderful exclusive fashion shows, entertainers, and great events are just the tip of the ice berg!
