Our runways are always created with the designer’s request in mind and with great consideration for the clothing that will be on display during the show. You have never seen so much effort put into each and every fashion show.
Sets that are rich in detail, often grand, and with no prim spared making these runways one of a kind. All aspects of the performance are carefully planned – from music, costumes for announcers, right up to the build itself – and they all come together to create a unique atmosphere that will surely transport you to different place and time.

Client: Ladies Who Lunch (LWL) by Faint Paulse
Designer’s brief: Poor Little Rich Girl is having a party, English country, lunch in the gardens, lots of balloons
Result: English Estate complete with back and front gardens, mountain and lake, with manor that doubles as model’s backstage and showroom for designs where visitors can shop after the show.

Designer’s brief: Color blocking show inspired by 80s
Result: Think pinball machines, labyrinth, pacman and changeable background that lights in different color to match outfit on the runway.

Designer’s brief: Simple bold runway
Result: Minimalist runway in white with metal detail.

Designer’s brief: We agreed on classic black & white set which is sophisticated and modern at the same time.
Result: Boudoir style set with circular runway, stage-like apartment with moving sky and for color sofas for seating in classical boudoir style.

Designer’s brief: Designer Valenttina Carfagno is MAD Agency regular so this show had no brief, apart from being summer collection.
Result: Last time for winter collection (scroll down) I created cold metal box with white tree in the center. This year I thought I stick to same principle but make summer version. The result was jewel like structure set in the middle of forest with amphitheater seating surrounding giant magic looking trees. Explosion of color and atmosphere lifts your spirits instantly.

Designer’s brief: Abandoned Industrial warehouse to represent depression and current economic climate. Simple high realism build. Runway reminiscent of New York Fashion Week.
Result: High realism build with custom seating, simple runway and large warehouse.

Designer’s brief: open brief – urban set
Result: Set inspired by Dark Night (Batman) warehouse underground, with great shadow detail, build that can only be described as sleek grunge.

Designer’s brief: Clean, white, to show different seasons of clothing
Result: Water that you can walk on and soap bubbles for seating. Clean white backdrops and sinking cubes for models dressed in white skin displaying dresses in still poses that changed when each model hit the runway.

Designer’s brief: Underworld meets Blade Runner, urban with dash of sci-fi and the past with classic elements, humour
Result: Welcoming area with classic architecture front that leads to prison like fortress structure with glass hexagon seats, encapsulated runway with lasers shooting models down. Play with movement and light all around.

Designer’s brief: build that would suiturban line of clothing with darker subdued colors
Result: stylised tube, metro, train station with bright colors to contrast dark clothing, monitors, seats, moving track & walls, glow, hyperspace inspired and semi-futuristic design. Announcers platform features black and white map of 6 fashion cities. MAD Agency’s final show for 2008.

Result: another set of urban immersion, concrete, explosion, super hero themes, dirt but no grunge, fortress with circular runway

Designer’s brief: clean winter runway with audience kept invisible and in the dark based on RL runway of Alexander McQueen
Result: 3 part set – huge cube in the room with audience on 3 sides, exposed cube revealing white tree, stars, fog and faun that intro the show, finally room becomes completely dark with audience unable to see each other from each side (lag reducing) and tree, stage and models the only thing visible

Designer’s brief: open brief ~ still set needed to accommodate lingerie and more conservative male brand as well as be suitable to fall
Result: Warm color rich interiors juxtaposed against cold exterior of gardens with parallel 2 runways and staircase. Interiors reflected masculine and feminine influences done in European style (French, English and Italian influences)
