The Capitol…

In case you haven’t seen the movies or read the books, The Hunger Games is greatly influencing fashion with its “Capitol Couture.” This look was fun to put together with many items that I already had in my inventory.

STYLE TIPS: Gear up for this weekend’s party at KMADD by pairing traditional items with ones that push your style over the top. There will be a style challenge and prizes for the winners. Show us what you’ve got and may the odds be ever in your favor!

Everyday…

Okay, so out of my last four or five posts, there is probably only one or two that I would actually wear on a regular basis in SL or RL. So, I thought I would blog  one of my favorite things to wear as an everyday outfit; and also, show a new skin from Lulu Jameson and his store Vaya Con Dios (VCD).

STYLE TIP: Just because it’s SL, and we can wear anything we want, doesn’t mean you always have to. Look at your RL style and find great pieces in SL that mimic your RL wardrobe.

Urbanized…

Second Life is a place where you can explore different styles that may not be on your radar in real life.  Find items that are modifiable and fit them together with other pieces from various designers. Add quirky pieces to make it your own.

STYLE TIPS: If you find items that are modifiable but do not come in the color you are looking for, try buying it in a light shade such as white or gray and then using the edit menu to tint it to the color you are looking for.

Winter Wonderland…

I recently posted “Judge” that contained some of the same items I wore to this year’ MAD Agency Christmas Ball shown here in this post.  I either edited the pieces by changing the color or added parts from other outfits or simply wore a different color.  I wanted to show how you could use the same items in an outfit and can change them around to create a completely different look. I hope that this clearly shows how you can create your own look for different occasions using the same items without having to purchase a whole new outfit.

Uninhibited…

After being in SL for many year, I find that I already own most of the male items that I care to own. In a search for new items to wear, I checked out some of the many women’s stores to see what I could find that  would be unisex enough to add to my own inventory.  I added a few new pieces to my current collection to create somthing new for myself. Just because items are at a women’s store, does not mean they cannot be edited to  fit your shape.

STYLE TIPS: If you are worried about prims not being appropriate for male use, ask one of your girl friends about the items before you buy them. Chances are, if the items are from a popular store, they already own them and can let you know which clothing items will work and which will not.
